The Chocolate Block 2015

The historic Boekenhoutskloof estate was established back in 1776, but its modern day success has been largely down to one of the Cape’s star winemakers – Marc Kent. A Pioneer of planting Syrah in the Cape, with ‘The Chocolate Block’ Marc has produced a remarkable blended wine based on this grape which is always in high demand.

The 2015 is another cracking vintage with all of the expected hallmarks of this fine wine; complex aromas with savoury and spice notes, super-fine tannins, a full-bodied luscious palate with bold flavours of ripe cherry and rich chocolate, amazing intensity and a real persistence on the finish – it makes us want to grab a glass!
